Houston's top harmonica playin' bluesman and his fine blues band will be performing at this year's Houston Sleepout. This year marks the second annual SleepOut event that will take place on November 14 at Sesquicentennial Park in downtown Houston. Last year the group raised over $50,000 that assisted victims of Hurricane Ike and victims of the down economy.
The event was started by a group of young professionals, also known as the Young Ambassadors. They are committed to supporting SEARCH’s efforts to help people move from the streets, into jobs, and safe, stable housing.
Participants may SleepOut as individuals or in teams and must raise a minimum of $100 to SleepOut. The $100 may be paid by the participant or acquired through sponsorships from friends, family, and community members donating money on their behalf. Corporate sponsorships are also available.
